The ice!

When Blake's brother, Sean, and his wife, Amanda, were in town a couple weeks ago, we all went to check out the ice at the Gaylord. It was COLD in there!
IMG_3562.jpg

The theme was Madagascar, and while we hadn't seen the Christmas movie, we did see some of the past ones, so Egan knew who the characters were. He loved it!
IMG_3566 (1).jpg

Yes, that is ALL ice!

IMG_3568.jpg

All of us together! I wore Sloane in her carrier and zipped her into my jacket to keep her warm.
IMG_3569.jpg

Blake did the ice slide, but Egan refused. One of those things I'm not quite sure why!

The Arboretum... at night!

Back in November, we got to go to the Arboretum after hours to see the pumpkins and glass sculptures. Egan thought this was the perfect opportunity to bring along his hard hat with head light on it. I... sadly... forgot my big camera. SO SAD! Oh well, we had a blast while there.
IMG_3290.jpg

We explored the pumpkins first.

Not to make this all about Egan in front of various pumpkins and glass... Sloane was there too. She just got to ride along in the ergo carrier.

Egan and Blake explored the Picasso house!

Such a fun and memorable night with my family! Exploring the arboretum at night was so much fun and such a unique experience!

(Blake was there, he just somehow didn't end up in any pictures. Sorry babe!)

a day in the life... more updates from the iphone.

A long time without updates means lots more!
I love my post-nap snuggles!
IMG_3404.jpg

Maggie loves the kids so much. Any time they are around playing, she is surely nearby. I can't say I really understand it, but I love that she is so calm and sweet with "her" babies. Moments like these, I call her "Nanny Maggie".
IMG_3422.jpg

A picture we sent to Egan while we were out of town.
IMG_3425.jpg

More Nanny Maggie. Pretty sure that next to that hammer is the last place she should be.
IMG_3434.jpg

What? You don't think Fix It Felix goes in the bottom of an airplane?
IMG_3454.jpg

Dinosaur time! Egan AND Sloane playing with dinosaurs! Maggie watching over them closely... just like always.
IMG_3465.jpg

Egan's favorite hideout. Inside the side table with a lantern and pillow.
IMG_3479.jpg

Ok, so I might love Costco because both kids can sit in the cart. Adorable!
IMG_3490.jpg

We had a Christmas party at church, and I was so proud of Egan and his buddies for sitting together like such big kids... that is until their attention ran out and we resorted to a stash of hot wheels I had in my bag. :)
IMG_3542.jpg

Um, so big. And looking like dad in his awesome shades and laptop.
IMG_3547 (1).jpg

Sloane has come to love food. All food. Any food we are eating, she wants... and usually gets.
IMG_3558 (1).jpg

Playing together sweetly.
IMG_3584 (1).jpg

Sloane just recently started crawling. Less than a week after she started crawling, she started pulling up... and climbing.

IMG_3662.jpg

Yet ANOTHER sick day! This time for Sloane. We spent the evening snuggling on the couch with her lovey. Egan didn't want to miss out on the snuggling action, so he went and got his lovie, Jeremiah, to join in the fun.

IMG_3685.jpg

Egan and I had fun with an app on my iphone. Cool 'stash!

Tower building with dad!
IMG_3698.jpg

We had the annual staff Christmas party last weekend where the Arts team decided to dress as the nativity. No, it wasn't a dress up party. (Blake is in green.)
IMG_3701.jpg

IMG_3704 (1).jpg

We went to a friend's birthday party!
IMG_3709.jpg

IMG_3716 (2).jpg

Sloane made a huge mess eating lunch. The amount of food that fell out of her lap as I took her out of her seat was extreme. Maggie got a whole meal out of that. ;)

The trains! and other Christmas celebration with the Playgroup

It's a playgroup tradition to visit the trains at Northpark each Christmas. Each year it just gets crazier.
Sloane got to join in the fun this year. She was pretty quiet the whole time, just watching the trains and other fun things!
IMG_1759.jpg

Egan and his buddies were ALL about the trains. The boys just went from spot to spot taking it all in.
IMG_1761.jpg

There were little buttons at various places along the walls tat would make different things move. BIG FUN!

The whole crew! We love these folks dearly, and so look forward to every week getting together. Our kids are such sweet friends, and those moms have become some of my very best friends. We've been meeting for well over three years now and can't wait for the coming year!
IMG_1803.jpg

After the trains, we walked down to check out the puppet show. Northpark does Christmas big, and it wasn't your run of the mill puppet show.

Our whole crew eating lunch. I think we took up 6 or 7 tables! Glad we didn't wait for the lunch rush! This is a far cry from our first lunch outings with babies being carried in infant carriers. Wow, to think of those days where we actually got to have conversation!

Sloane and her little buddy, S, eating lunch together. (That's a borrowed bib, sorry buddy!)
IMG_1822.jpg

We also had a "Happy Birthday Jesus" Party at Mrs. Lisa's house complete with the Christmas story, angel ornaments, and birthday cake!
