Sushi! (Of the chocolate variety.) It was actually really yummy! The chef had actually prepared a Chocolate Extravaganza during lunch for dessert. There was all kinds of fruit on sticks and melted chocolate to dip. It was amazing and quite the treat. By the way, we went to the gym in the afternoon to work some of the sweets off!
Speaking of sweets, this one was my FAVORITE...

It was the warm melting cake I had at dinner. I think it is the best dessert I've ever eaten and was part of the reason we chose Carnival as our cruise line again. I'd remembered it from our previous cruise. Chocolate Melting Cake is AMAZING. Amazing. Amazing. It is just like the name says, the top is a bit crunchy and the whole inside is all this amazing chocolate goo. It is served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream which is the perfect pair. OH MY.
Here is our fantastic server on the last evening, Damir. He is from Croatia and was a blast.

And this was our dinner crew. Lisa and Eric on the left and Courtney on the right. Each night, dinner was great with these fun couples!

We had a late port night in Canada. So, after dinner, we went out for an evening on the town.
Here we are "entering" Canada for the first time!

An old, very large, and (according to a security guard,) famous hotel, The Empress. I just thought the lighting was cool against the sky.

Here are some other shots from our walk around town.

I thought the sky was totally amazing.

Blake posed with some statues along the way.

This is the capital building. It isn't Christmas, but they have it all lit up anyway!

And Blake with another statue.

Me too!

And our friends Eric and Lisa.

Before long, it was time to head back to the ship to get some sleep before our early morning.

It was a fabulous last vacation day before our day of travel home. Our trip was AMAZING and it was so much fun to see part of the world we hadn't yet seen and spend lots of uninterrupted quality time with Blake! We can't wait to plan our next trip!
(Day 11... No real pictures from this day. We got up early, had breakfast, got off the boat, lost Blake's hat, caught a cab to the airport, checked in, waited in a long security line with HEAVY computer bags, Blake got caught with a contraband 2" swiss army knife, he went back to mail it, he waited in security line again while I was left with ALL our carry-ons, flew to LAX... Oh how I hate that there is just Burger King to eat there... Flew to Dallas, got all our bags, got picked up by Eric and Amanda (Blake's sister and BIL), picked up our dogs from them, got our car and made it home around midnight. I don't really have anything great to say about that day, so I won't make it its own post. We were BEAT, sad our vacation was over, but happy to be home!)
There's no place like home...
