We went to our favorite place to eat/play (Chick-fil-a) with friends, got a bunch of fun books and movies at the library, went to the grocery store, and...
My little budding artist colored on his art stand. He calls this one... "Circle."
Literally. He LOVES to draw circles.
After he finished his Circle drawing, we took a stab at finger painting.
It didn't take Egan long to get the hang of the finger painting. Here he is showing off his yellow.
He painted while he donned his Great-Great-grandmother's apron. I thought it was precious.
Not sure what he was saying here, but I'm pretty sure I caught him mid-sentance. All done!
After we cleaned up from the painting, we took on the chalk board where he requested that I draw "E"s, circles, stars, suns, spiders, triangles and...
...Bugs so he could splat them!
When mommy told Egan she was all done drawing bugs, but that he could draw some and still splat them...
... the tears flowed.
Well, until he found a speck of blue paint left on his arm. Then it was over.
Once we grew tired of "art time", we moved our personal party outside to slide and play with the dogs. Bo wasn't interested in the least, but Maggie and Max (my parent's dog who was visiting while they were in China) had a ball.
We also had fun playing in the sand. Egan especially enjoyed playing with his turtle sand toy in his turtle sand box. In fact, I think he just realized it was a turtle.
It was so nice to spend the afternoon outside in the nice weather (in January!!!) We couldn't have asked for more.
Mommy and Egan time was fun, but we were super happy when daddy made it home!
