Playing a little catch-up

First, we'd like to wish you a long overdue... Merry Christmas!

Better late than never, right?
We've had a busy couple of weeks here, but this last week has been much more so than I ever expected. Blake had last week off and we had quite a few house projects to get done. For the most part, they got done.
We had an awesome Christmas. Blake worked almost all of Christmas Eve at church while Egan and I played at home, hung out with friends and went to church.
We spent Christmas morning here at home and let Egan open his gifts. He had no idea what was in store for him the following days.
The zhu zhu pets were a huge hit. He had a blast, and it was hard to get him to move on to anything else.

His stocking was stuffed with all sorts of fun animals.
"A horse!"

"A giraffe!"

"What could be next!?!"

Next up, I helped Egan open a few other little things.

After the fun at home, we went to see my parents and extended family. Egan had a blast there as well. He napped through lunch and some games, but got up just in time for some more gifts.
As usual, the food didn't disappoint. This was my favorite part of the grub.

We had fun playing a dice game called "left, right, center" for $s. Neither Blake or I won.

We had fun though.

In the end, Uncle Mark won the first round and Uncle Doug, the second.
Here's Uncle Mark gathering his winnings. He won't see this though because he doesn't have a computer, so if someone who knows him sees this, you might let him know a picture of him gambling is on the internet. (HA!)

It was finally time to let Egan attack a few more gifts. He got his own laptop!

And a really cute robot sweater.

Even a rescue airplane that he loves.

He got a lot of other things that he loves, but those were just a few fun things.
He even taught daddy how to use his laptop.

Once he was done opening his gifts, he helped everyone else open theirs. Here he is helping his Nana open her gift from us.

And helped Grandad as well.

Even Uncle Tyler had help.

What did we ever do before Egan was around to help?!
We finally got his train all put together. He loved it.

He's even learned how to control it with the remote control.

All in all, we had such a fun day celebrating the birth of our Savior, but the fun was far from over.
The following morning, Egan got to try his hand at painting. Here he is creating his first masterpiece.

The finished piece.

We played a bit more before coming home to get ready for yet MORE fun the next day with Blake's side of the family. The kicker here is that I somehow forgot my camera... not only that... we also walked out the front door without any gifts! Sigh. I was able to come home and get the gifts, but in the hustle of it all, I still left the camera. (Thankfully Blake's parents took some pictures. I'll just have to get a hold of them.)
Oh, and the best part of all this was that Egan was able to say Bye-Bye to his cast! He got it off right before we went out to be with Blake's parents. By the end of the afternoon, he was already walking on it!

So long, cast! We won't miss you one bit!
Lastly, I had to share a bit of our little artist's latest work.

I'm sure this is the first of many, but that is the bin for his train. I knew he was being too quiet!
(It came off thanks to the Magic Eraser... it truly is magic!)
Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas as well!
