21 months

Dear Egan, Today you are 21 months old and becoming quite the comedian. It seems like you have a new stunt every day. I guess the most important news this month is that you got your cast off! Yippee! We also celebrated Christmas which was so much fun with you this year.
I am shocked by how much you are learning. It seems like something new each day. Dinosaurs are becoming one of your favorite things, but you still love all animals and trucks/emergency vehicles. You have thoroughly enjoyed all of the toys you got for Christmas, and thanks to a fun little laptop from uncle Tyler, you have learned a few letters! You press a letter button, the computer says the letter, the sound that letter makes and a word that starts with that letter. You usually repeat the letter and word. A few times you've spotted a letter on a shirt or somewhere else and said what it was! I was shocked when you did that.
There is rarely a time when there aren't words coming out of your mouth. I understand most of them, but still not all. You are very persistent though. If daddy or I don't respond to your word, you keep saying it louder and louder and pat us on the chest till we pay attention. The cutest thing you have said to us is "I love you." Talk about melting my heart! It is precious.
Egan, You are growing into such a sweet boy and I am so proud to be your mom.
I love you!

Here's a little funny from the last week. Egan is such the comedian. I don't know why he had a basket on his head, nor do I know why he is trying to drink his drink through it. I laugh every time I see it though. Enjoy. If the video below doesn't work, try this link.

  1. Oh my stars! That is SOOOOOOOOOO stinking HILARIOUS! I love the basket on the head, trying to navigate the straw! I could watch this a hundred times--it so clearly paints a picture of this age and how they test and try and learn... and their sweet innocence. Oh my preciousness!
