After church, we stopped to pick up some quick lunch before a nap for Egan. Lunch was burgers from a "secret" burger place. It is in a fancy hotel behind this curtain.
Please excuse the blurry cell phone pics. I didn't have my real camera. Hopefully you can still get the idea.
Once you round the curtain and walk down a dark hall, you see this little neon burger sign.
Then, you walk into this little burger place. All they have are burgers, fries, and shakes, and you better have cash because they don't take credit. Oh, and you need to know what you want to order before reaching the front of the line. They aren't keen on waiting. There's a sign saying they will send you to the back.
There's a single grill right behind the cashier where all the food is cooked and a few tables around the perimeter of the place. Really, it is nothing fancy, but a fun place to eat.
Thankfully Egan took a great nap and we got him up just in time to catch our car to the airport. Both of our flights home were completely full, so Egan just had to sit in our lap, but he really did great.
We had books, puzzles, and his favorite... the iPad. He even wore his headphones without complaint.
We didn't make it home till super late and only at the end he got fussy.
It felt so good to be home after such a long time away. It was great to be back in a city we dearly love, but also great to be back home with my sweet family.
And so ends Egan's first big vacation!
