14 months

Dear Egan,
Today you are 14 months old. You are so much fun. You've grown up so much in the last month. Last month, you were primarily a crawler. In the last month something switched, and you now primarily walk everywhere. You have also mastered the skill of throwing a fit. Ahh, the fit. You sure don't like it when you don't get what you want. You've learned some new words, but mostly you still babble constantly. Also, since last month, you have decided that you like sign language. You sign "more" for everything that you want. It is so cute. You have learned how to "blow kisses" and you like to join in laughing when we do. You might not know what we are laughing about, but you think it is so funny.
Another of my favorite things that you do these days is to crawl up into either your dad's lap or mine for us to read you a book. Ahhhh, melt my heart. I love it!
The weather has gotten pretty hot here recently, so we've been spending some time in your pool and have also been having some fun at the mall play places and today you played in the Chick-fil-a play place for the first time. I had no idea that they had a 3 and under play area! You also got to meet the chick-fil-a cow there! I was so proud of you for not screaming.
You are just like your dad and love anything with buttons. In fact, you like to pretend those things are your phone by putting them up to your ear and babbling. I have NO idea where you learned that one. Ouch!
Egan, We love you and cherish every second we get to spend with you watching you and helping you explore and learn about the world.

  1. Hey there! So fun to finally catch up on your blog (Maelee is napping - yay!) and see all the great pics. Looks like you guys have a great summer ahead! I love the letters you write to Egan. I wrote several to Maelee before she was born but am already behind on the one-month letter! Maybe today!!!

Anyhow, we miss you guys and are glad all is going well!
