another first!

Egan got to go swimming! Well, maybe he didn't actually "swim" more like he hung out in the super shallow end of a pool, but I think that counts. Here he is swimming at The Great Wolf Lodge last weekend.

He wasn't sure what to think at first, and before the camera came out, he even cried for a bit, but he finally decided the pool wasn't so bad.

He also enjoyed watching the bigger kids play in the water.

and finally decided he could sit on his own.

Then he decided to try a little crawling on his own.

Boy, was that fun!

I suggested that Blake take him over to this spot where water was squirting up from the bottom of the pool. He thought that was pretty scary, but Blake slowly convinced him that it wasn't so bad. He really trusts his Daddy!

... that is, till he got really close and the water shot up really high. He was still brave and didn't cry though!

He even let Daddy put him in the water.

Is it just me, or is that not an awesome picture of trust? Daddy said it was ok and wouldn't hurt, and even though he was scared, he trusted.
Hopefully Egan will continue to love the pool and we will have lots of fun in the coming years!
